Practice extensions and renovations are around the corner so we can grow with you - stay tuned for updates!

Safety First

If unwell when visiting us in person, please put on a mask when you come in (supplied at reception).

Face to face is best for care, but Telehealth appointments can save you time and petrol for issues that don’t need physical examination. Medicare rebates apply if you’ve seen us in the last 12 months. It also keeps infectious illnesses from spreading and you can discuss things like eligibility for COVID-19 antiviral medication if you have tested positive for COVID.

MyMedicare

MyMedicare registration aims to improve long-term health outcomes. It enables you to access rebates for services such as long telehealth appointments. From July 2025, you’ll need to be registered with us to access Medicare benefits such as GP Management Plans. Self-register using MyGov or the Medicare ExpressPlus phone app, or speak to Reception for help.

Get Vaxxed

The 2025 Influenza vaccines are now available. These are free for patients aged <5, 65+, or adults with a chronic health condition (eg diabetes or asthma). If this does not apply to you, private flu vaccines are available anytime for only $25.

While you’re here, why not also get a free COVID JN.1 booster vaccine? COVID boosters are recommended every 6 months for those aged 75+ and annually if 65+. Adults aged 18+ can get an annual booster anytime. Just ask reception, your GP or our nurse.

Billing

All doctors at WGP are independent practitioners who privately bill everyone, except for our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander patients.

Our doctor’s books are currently closed for new patients, except for Dr Chae. Please advise reception if you would like to go on our waiting list.

Due to the need to maintain practice viability, our billing policy cannot change to increase bulk billing further. No new bulk-billed patients can be accepted until government policies change on primary care funding. Fees will need to be adjusted periodically to cover inflation and will also increase if our independent GPs become subject to Payroll Tax in the ACT.
